# SIMs for payment terminals

### Small data, many devices

Card transactions use very little data, so the smallest plan usually does. Billing only starts when each terminal is deployed.

Payment terminal → mobile data → ThingSIM core (Private APN) → IPSec VPN → Payment gateway (Acquirer / host).
