A charger that can’t reach its back office can’t start a session. Each SIM roams across all four UK networks and uses the strongest where it is installed.

Chargers get private addresses. Add a Private APN or an IPSec VPN and OCPP traffic never touches the public internet.

### Billed from switch-on

Ship SIMs with the hardware and activate each one on commissioning day, not the day the pallet arrives.

## How it connects

Charge point → mobile data → ThingSIM core (Private APN) → IPSec VPN → Your back office (OCPP / CPMS).

## Recommended setup

**1 GB, UK 4-network, one SIM per charger.** A starting point, not a rule. Move any SIM up or down a size from the portal.
