> The things people ask before and after ordering.

## Before you order

### When does billing start?

When you switch a SIM on from the portal, and not before. SIMs arrive inactive, so spares in a drawer cost nothing.

### Physical SIM or eSIM?

Either, at the same price: £2.00 per SIM, once. Physical SIMs come as a trio card: pop out mini, micro or nano to suit your device. They are posted to addresses in the UK and EU. An eSIM arrives as a QR code minutes after you order.

### Which networks?

There are two UK options. **UK 4-network** roams across O2, Vodafone, Three and EE and uses whichever is strongest where the device is. **UK 3-network** leaves out EE and costs less; it suits devices in places EE isn’t the only strong signal. Europe plans roam across the EU and are priced per project for now.

### How many can I order?

Up to 25 SIMs online. For more, [talk to us](/contact?topic=fleet) and we will set the fleet up with you.

## Once you have SIMs

### What happens when a SIM runs out of data?

It pauses, rather than running up a bill. You can move that SIM to a larger plan straight away, paying only the difference for the rest of the month, or leave it until the allowance resets.

### What if a card payment fails?

We hold new orders and plan changes until it is sorted. We never switch off a SIM that is already working in the field.

### Can I change a SIM’s plan?

Yes, SIM by SIM from the portal. Upgrades apply straight away; downgrades from the start of the next month.

### Do you do fixed IP addresses?

Every SIM gets a private IP at no charge. A static public IP is £8 a month per SIM. For private networking, see the [extras](/extras).
