# ThingSIM at a glance

> ThingSIM sells IoT data SIMs for devices in the UK and Europe, billed only while each SIM is switched on.

ThingSIM sells data SIMs for connected devices such as alarm panels, routers, payment terminals, EV chargers, CCTV cameras, trackers and sensors. SIMs are ordered online by card, arrive switched off, and are billed only from the day each one is activated in the ThingSIM portal. UK plans roam across all four UK mobile networks (O2, Vodafone, Three and EE) or three of them (no EE) for less. ThingSIM is operated by Netavo, a UK network services provider.

- SIMs arrive inactive, with no monthly charge until activated; billing for each SIM starts the day it is switched on.
- UK 4-network plans roam across O2, Vodafone, Three and EE, from £0.90 a month per SIM for 50 MB.
- UK 3-network plans roam across O2, Vodafone and Three (no EE), from £0.65 a month per SIM for 50 MB.
- Plan sizes are 50 MB, 250 MB, 1 GB and 5 GB a month; 1 GB on UK 4-network is £2.40 a month.
- Each SIM costs £2.00 once, whether a physical trio SIM (mini, micro and nano) or an eSIM delivered as a QR code.
- When a SIM uses its monthly allowance it pauses instead of charging overage; upgrade it straight away or wait for the reset.
- A failed card payment pauses new orders and plan changes, never SIMs already working in the field.
- No contract: pay monthly by card, or annually. Up to 25 SIMs can be ordered online; larger fleets are set up with us.
- Every SIM gets a private IP address; a static public IP is £8 a month. Private APN, IPSec VPN and cloud interconnect are available as extras.
- Europe (EU roaming) is priced per project.

## Plans and prices

Per active SIM per month, ex VAT. There is no monthly charge for a SIM until it is activated. Prices checked 2026-09-24.

Roams across all four UK networks and uses whichever is strongest where the device is.

## Extras

- **Private APN**: Your SIMs on their own private network, unreachable from the internet.
- **IPSec VPN**: A tunnel from our core to your firewall, so devices and servers talk privately.
- **Cloud interconnect**: Private connectivity into AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- **Static public IP**: A fixed internet address for a SIM, for devices you connect to directly. £8 a month per SIM.
